How is this different from using Mascara?

Because mascara isn’t meant for hair, it tends to leave hair feeling stiff, sticky or flaky, not smooth and natural. That can lead to a clumpy or “crusty” look rather than sleek, touchable hair. Mascara is formulated for lashes, which means it will not be effective for long strands of hair.
